This paper presant a process for preparation of isobutyronitrile by ammonolysis of 2 burtanol in the gas phase with amminia at high temperature, a high performance catalyst (Cu Zn/Al 2O 3) is selected, the conversion of 2 butanol and the molar yield of isobutyronitrile are >99%, 98%, respectively.
