The acidic decomposition mechanism of zinc sulfite coming from zinc oxide desulfurization process was investigated ,the factors such as reacting time, terminal pH value (the quantity of added acid) ,temperature, vacuum, the solid content of zinc sulfite slurry and the method of adding acid which influence this decomposition reaction were studied and the optimum condition was summarized.
