The systematic errors in the traditional methods of track calculating are analyzed firstly,then the symbolic formulae of meridian arc\'s forward and inverse solution are introduced,finally the precise Mercator sailing method which could eliminate the systematic errors and improve the accuracy of track calculating is derived.
