Dinuclear silver(I) cryptate (ClO_4)_2 was synthesized by template condensation of 3,5-dimethyloxylphenyl-1,3-dialdehyde with tri(3-aminopropyl)amine in the presence of silver ion,and the dinuclear copper(I) cryptate (ClO_4)_2was synthesized by transmetallation reaction of the dinuclear silver(I) cryptate with Cu(CH_3CN)_4ClO_4.

To study the structure and characterization of transition metal chelate complexes, we synthesized in this paper a new complex by the condensation of tren and tri(o benzenmethyl ethyl ether)amine, and prepared a series of corresponding transition metal chelate complexes of tren and tri(o benzenmethyl ethyl ether)amine complex by replacement reaction.
