This paper developed a micron-level automatic measuring instrument based on precise machinery, by the use of photoelectric sensors, rotary encoders, linear motion units and dsPIC microcontroller, The instrument achieve high accuracy in lower cost, and is suitable for measuring large quantities of simple geometry parts.
