Based on the performance test data of two sub-critical steam turbine units before and after overhauls in certain power plant in 16 years, the practical method to determine the degradation factors was discussed, the extent of degradation was calculated and analyzed, and two new concepts, namely, the ratio between degradation factors and the rate of residual degradation, were proposed.
