Two new types of bis-azo chromogenic acyclic crown ethers with brigded chains of azachains and terminals of phenolic hydroxyl and chromogens of 4-R benzenediazo groups 5 and 6 have been conveniently synthesized with good yields via coupling-bridging reactions from salicyladehyde,4-nitro (-chloro,-methoxy) benzeneamine,ethyldiamine and diethylenetriamine, respectively.
